Chancery Clerks

The Chancery clerk's primary duties lie within the chancery court. The Chancery clerk is responsible for attending all sessions of chancery court and keeping all minute books in which records and directions of the chancellor and proceedings of the court are kept.

In addition to preserving all land records recordable in the county, state law requires that the clerk of the chancery court also serve as clerk for the board of supervisors.
