Dates & Locations
On behalf of Mark Seard, President of the Mississippi Assessors and Collectors Association, we are pleased to announce the 2022 MACA Fall Conference on November 14-16, 2022 in Cleveland, MS. The deadline to register for MACA Fall Conference and book your hotel room is Wednesday, October 12, 2022.
Early Registration for MACA Fall Conference will be held from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Monday, November 14, 2022, at The Lyric Hotel/West End District. A tentative agenda has been included in this letter. Please review it carefully as the schedule has changed slightly from previous years.
There will not be a registration fee for Tax Assessors and/or Collectors and a guest to attend the MACA Fall Conference. However, a registration fee of $125.00 is required for deputies and additional guests who plan on attending the conference. The fee for contract appraisers is $500. Registration for the MACA Conference must be completed online. The online registration will provide an email confirmation of receipt. Awards Luncheon:
The Awards Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, November 16th. We will be recognizing individuals that have obtained certifications and designations through the Mississippi Tax Collector Education and Certification Program (CRI, CRII, and MCR) for Collectors along with the Mississippi Education and Certification Program (AEI, AEII, and MAE) for Assessors and IAAO Designation recipients. Due to the number of awards this year, each designation will be acknowledged as a group with the exception of the MCR and MAE designees. Plaques will be given to each county at the end of the luncheon.
Hotel Information
Room Blocks are being held at the Lyric Hotel/West End District and the Cotton House Hotel. Below you will find an inventory of room types and rates. We have also included links to the hotel website to guide your selection. A valid credit card is required to make reservations. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, October 12, 2022, to receive the special rates. All rates are subject to fees, and state and local taxes. Be sure to verify deposits and fees when booking your room. Tax-exempt entities must provide the hotel with a photocopy of the certification of exemption with payment.
